Tucker became a city in 2016, after voters approved cityhood in November 2015. Main Street is the center of city events such as Tucker Day. Henderson Park, a city park of about 111 acres, has two sides connected by walking trails, and Stone Mountain Park, which covers 3,200 acres, is a short drive southeast. Across the City of Tucker, about 48% of homes were built before 1980 and about 60% are detached houses (ACS 2020–2024).
